Consume Inheritance

Fatima Altaf (Group Sumayyah)
And you consume inheritance, devouring [it] altogether,
And you love wealth with immense love. [Al Fajr: 19-20]

The people who will have a severe punishment on the Day of Judgment are those who would have taken the inheritance of the orphans and spent it on themselves. The reason for this was their miserliness; they could not even give rights to the most vulnerable in society. The love of wealth causes them to do all these bad deeds; it was the one thing that stopped them from doing well for others. Wealth can be a dangerous thing, which is why we should utilize it properly.
