Wajeeda Khan (Al Huda Student)
This was the very first revelation -yet it says to read and it is repeated thrice showing the importance. How much do I, as a muslim, our ummah, females want to read and know? This is so contrary to our position today in the world. If only we would follow what Allah (Swt) has said to us it would be better for us.
All learning should be beginning with Allah (swt) name since it’s all from Allah (swt) Alone. Gaining knowledge is obligatory upon all Muslims. Also our creation makes me realize my actual insignificance and the nobleness of Allah (swt). The thought that the pen was created 50,000 years before our creation shows writing and reproducing is crucial to learning for mankind thus for gaining knowledge and therefore power.
