Rusted Hearts
No! Rather, the stain has covered their hearts of that which they were earning.
No! Indeed, from their Lord, that Day, they will be partitioned.
Then indeed, they will [enter and] burn in Hellfire.
Then it will be said [to them], “This is what you used to deny.” [Al Mutafifeen:14-17]

This concept is very scary. If we are constantly committing sins then our hearts will become rusted. The reason being that when we do something over time it becomes a habit and is normal to that person. If we are constantly disobeying Allah (swt) it is us who will be losing out. How dreadful is it to have a heart that is rusted, it absorbs nothing, gives nothing beneficial and it will be recompensed with the flame of the fire.
