Transportation Dua

And who created the species, all of them, and has made for you of ships and animals those which you mount.
That you may settle yourselves upon their backs and then remember the favor of your Lord when you have settled upon them and say. “Exalted is He who has subjected this to us, and we could not have [otherwise] subdued it.
And indeed we, to our Lord, will [surely] return.”
[Az Zukhruf:12-14]

Today when we read the supplication for sitting in the car it really touched me. We say this whenever we sit in the car but it felt like today was the first time I was saying it because I actually understood the wisdom behind it. When we have settled it is our duty to thank Allah (swt). We are also witnessing that although we feel safe in the car the only one who is controlling the car is Allah (swt). If anything happens to the car we can not control it or tell it what to do. Therefore, we pronounce that if anything was to go wrong we will be returning to our Lord.
I was thinking about the way in which we sit in cars and on motorbikes etc. Doesn’t it seem weird that we are sitting on something that is elevated off the ground and is so convenient for our everyday lives? Who could have given man this power other than Allah (Swt)? Now I am sure that when I say this dua I will truly mean it.

The Supplication is the first part of the video.
