Freedom Of Will

Indeed, we offered the Trust to the heavens and the earth and the mountains, and they declined to bear it and feared it; but man [undertook to] bear it. Indeed, he was unjust and ignorant. [Al Ahzaab:72]
The trust that is mentioned in this verse is to have the freedom of will. Allah (swt) offered this to the heavens and earth but they declined because they knew that it was a big responsibility. However, man undertook the responsibility although it has now become a test for us. We have the freedom of will which is why many of us today do not believe but what will we answer to Allah (Swt) when he asks us why we did not believe although we were in a promise with Him?
