Spider Web

The example of those who take allies other than Allāh is like that of the spider who takes a home. And indeed, the weakest of homes is the home of the spider, if they only knew.
Indeed, Allāh knows whatever thing they call upon other than Him. And He is the Exalted in Might, the Wise. [Al Ankaboot: 41-42]

The home of the spider is so weak that one touch can break it apart into tiny pieces. The example teaches us that those that take other than Allah (swt) as a Lord put in lots of work, however, all their efforts are ruined just as a spiders effort to put its home together are ruined.
Anyone who worships other than Allah (swt) has ruined all their deeds and all their striving; just as when a person puts their finger through a web it can not last, neither can the deeds of an idolater.
