But those who disbelieved – their deeds are like a mirage in a lowland which a thirsty one thinks is water until, when he comes to it, he finds it is nothing but finds Allāh before Him, and He will pay him in full his due; and Allāh is swift in account. [An Nur: 39]
When a person sees a mirage it seems as though water is ahead and for someone who is thirsty it is a sign of hope and mercy. However, the disbelievers will see that all the deeds that they did whether good or bad will not be written in their favor because they did not have the correct belief.
