Strive For Knowledge

And they found a servant from among Our servants to whom we had given mercy from us and had taught him from Us a [certain] knowledge.
Moses said to him, “May I follow you on [the condition] that you teach me from what you have been taught of sound judgement?” [Al Kahf: 65-66]

After having learnt the story of Musa (as) and Khadr (as) I was thinking about how important it is to gain knowledge in ones life. Prophet Musa (as) was a prophet but still Allah (swt) told him that he should go and increase his knowledge. From this I learnt that if you want to learn then you have to follow the teacher and listen carefully. I really liked when Khadr (as) told Musa (as) that you have to have patience with me. This shows that it is essential that one is patient when he is on a journey to gain knowledge. It really struck me that one must have a goal when you are trying to increase knowledge.
Gain knowledge from the lap of your mother to your grave.
