 Show of Character

Saba Naz (Group Fatima)

[He said], “Joseph, O man of truth, explain to us about seven fat cows eaten by seven [that were] lean, and seven green spikes [of grain] and others [that were] dry that I may return to the people; perhaps they will know [about you].” [Yusuf:46]
One of the lessons that can be picked out from the conversation between Yusuf (as) and the former prisoner is that the truthfulness of Yusuf (as) can be seen in his character as he is addressed as “man of truth”. This shows us that what we show to others is our actual character. Another thing we learn is that at this time when the former prisoner comes Yusuf (as) did not start shouting and questioning why he did not mention him to his master or that is it all his fault he is still in prison. Instead, he interprets the dream for him and also gives solutions. Again this tells us that if we want to spread the message we have to provide people will resolutions to their problems.
