Whats Your Proof?
Medihah Hussain (Group Ruqayyah)
Say, “With Allāh is the far-reaching argument. If He had willed, He would have guided you all.” [Al An’aam:149]
This class I really learnt the importance of having an established proof for what it is that you follow. We should know why we are following something and not just follow for the sake of following. The above statement really made me think about ourselves. Although we do not go as far as the mushrik did but we do say things like “Had Allah willed I would have been a better muslim.”
I was reminded of someone I knew who got a job and did not pray at his workplace. When asked he said I asked Allah (swt) to grant me this job, had He wanted me to pray I would not have been given this job. This is an example of the common things we say. It is in our hands to want to be guided and Allah does not do injustice to anyone. If you desire guidance you will be guided. We should always remember that the base of our belief must be strong so we can build on top of it.
