Repentance

Medihah Hussain (Group Ruqayyah)
In todays lesson I was surprised at how much repentance was mentioned and this made me realize that seeking forgiveness is a big part of iman. After further thinking about this I realized that by asking for forgiveness and repenting it shows that a person has admitted they were wrong and they acknowledge this. This also shows that they are not arrogant as they can accept that they have done wrong rather than thinking themselves entirely sin free.
As was in todays verses if a woman commits illegal sexual intercourse you must bring four witnesses to testify and then confine them in their houses but if they repent then no one should dishonor or remind them of what happened. This really shows the greatness of repenting and how much it is liked near Allah (swt). Next time we do something we should repent rather than not admit our fault.
