Annoyance Only

Medihah Hussain (Group Ruqayyah)
Today I was feeling angry because I had spoken to some people the day before about Islam and the Qur’an. They were very reluctant to listen and instead of hearing what I had to say they began taunting at the religion. This made me extremely angry and upset and left me in a bad mood until the next day. So as I sat in class today I had a flashback to that conversation. Amazingly, I was given my answer in class today.
They will not harm you except for [some] annoyance. And if they fight you, they will show you their backs; then they will not be aided. [Ale Imran:111]
This reassured me that there is nothing that they can say that would hurt me and nor can they do any harm apart from making me temporarily annoyed. Upon hearing this I became relaxed and realized that I should remain calm, when spreading deen these encounters occur but they are not aided by Allah against you.
