Color of Allah

Medihah Hussain (Group Ruqayyah)
[And say, “Ours is] the religion of Allāh. And who is better than Allāh in [ordaining] religion? And we are worshippers of Him.” [Al Baqarah: 138]
The concept of the color of Allah is one that is truly amazing and one that we should all know. To be the color of something one has to completely immerse themselves in that thing. For example when you want to die a cloth blue you will completely soak that cloth in blue die until not even an inch is left white. In this same way the color of Allah can be taken once one places themselves entirely in the hands of Islam.
The color of Islam is not actually a color but it is the identity that each muslim carries, it is the identity that everyone knows them by. For example the hijab is a symbol of a Muslim. When you see someone walking down the street wearing a hijab it is automatically understood that this person is a Muslim. The identity of the Muslim is not just external but also internal aswell and what this person carries with them inside. This is the color of Allah.
Being a Muslim in itself does not acquire the status of having the color of Islam it is the personality, characteristic and physical appearance that you carry. How do you portray Islam? Are you a good example of what the Muslim ummah is like? We should all adopt the color of Allah to be successful Muslims.
Allhumdulillah, in this word Allah has broken any racial or ethnic barrier. There is no color in Islam there is only the color of Allah. This should be the color we strive to be.
