Knowledge- A Blessing

Saba Naz (Group Fatima)
Knowledge is mercy from Allah and it is the first gift that was given to Adam (as). As the descendants of Adam (as) mankind has also been blessed with knowledge. However, are we really true seekers of beneficial knowledge? Knowledge is not what makes you better than anyone else. Knowledge is that thing that changes your life and it gives you light and new perspectives. Knowledge gave Adam (as) a high rank amongst the creation of Allah (swt) and in front of the angels. Allah commanded that the angels bow down due to the blessings Adam (as) was given. As we can see the angels were constantly obedient of Allah (swt). Are we truly obedient?
I know personally that before I joined this course I did not truly understand what obedience was and now I feel like I never obeyed Allah (swt). Sometimes arrogance and pride gets in the way of us being obedient just as it did for Ibliss. Ibliss was also instructed to bow down before Adam (as) but he refused. Allah has mentioned this story not just to past time but so that we can learn from others mistakes. It is so that we can realize our own weaknesses and correct ourselves. It is a reminder that arrogance should never come in the way of being obedient to Allah (swt). Always ask Allah for forgiveness He is- The most forgiving, The always all merciful.
He forgives the sins of those who are sincere. As humans we sin and we forget but ask for forgiveness as soon as you remember and realize your fault. Allah is the one who guides and the one who forgives. So obey Allah (swt) and remember this is the straight path.
