Al Qiyamah V.1-40
Fingertips
Maryam Khan (Group Ruqayyah)
Yes. [We are] Able [even] to proportion his fingertips. [Al Qiyamah:4]
The people of Makkah had questioned the Resurrection and Allah answers that He could even assemble their fingertips back together again. I was thinking there are over 6 billion people in the world currently not including those who have previously passed away and those yet to come. So many people yet Allah is always All Powerful. He can make all of our fingertips again. If you even glance at the detail of the lines of just one of your fingertips all that will come to your mouth will be SubhAllah. So how can anyone deny The Day of Judgment?

Record Of Deeds
Fatima Altaf (Al Huda Student)
Man will be informed that Day of what he sent ahead and kept back.
Rather, man, against himself, will be a witness. [Al Qiyamah: 13-14]
On the Day of Judgment each of us will get our book of deeds and we will be told exactly each and everything we did with our time on earth. What we prioritized and what we kept for the last minute. How we spent our wealth and what we left for our inheritors. Was our youth preoccupied with worship of Allah and how did react as we were in our old age. No deed left unwritten. Then we should ask ourselves, how have we spent our lives till this moment? How do I want my deeds presented to me?

Land of death
Sairish Ahmed (Al Huda Student)
No! When the soul has reached the collar bones
And it is said, “Who will cure [him]?”
And the dying one is certain that it is the [time of] separation
And the leg is wound about the leg,
To your Lord, that Day, will be the procession. [Al Qiyamah:26-30]
What struck me most from Juz 29 was the description of how the soul will leave the body in Surah Al-Qiyamah (v. 26-30). It reminds me of a sister I used to know who passed away 2 years ago. May Allah SWT have mercy on her soul. ameen.
She was a cancer patient living in the US and the doctors had given the word to the family that she will not recover from her illness now. So the family, consisting of her husband and 3 children, decided to take the sister back to Pakistan for her last few days in the world. At the airport, some other sisters helped to get the sister to the airplane. As they helped her to get out from the taxi, they said that her legs were hanging from the wheelchair meaning that her soul had started to leave the body… (as we learn in verse 29 of Surah Al-Qiyamah).
Her flight to Pakistan consisted of a stop to England and then onwards to her destination. Before she reached the UK, her soul was completely taken out by the angel of death.
I learned from this incident that it can take 6-7 hours for a soul to completely come out of the body. And I also learned that it is not always on the earth, in some country that one can die, but even in the sky… if that is where your death is written, then that is where you will end up dying, no matter how much you want to die in a certain land. It is all in the Hands of Allah.
Allahumma a’ennee ‘ala ghamaratil mawt wa sakaratil mawt. Ameen

Al Mudathir V.1-56
Purify
Saba Naz (Group Fatima)
And your clothing purify
And uncleanliness avoid [Al Mudathir:4-5]
It really struck me how Allah (swt) is teaching the prophet (saw) the basic teachings of Islam right in the beginning of revelation. The basic thing that is most important in Islam is purifying oneself internally and externally. Purification is a major part of our deen. In one hadith prophet (saw) said that purity is half of our deen. Purity is not only to look clean from outside but we should put effort to clean ourselves internally from all impurities. Some examples of internal impurities are the impurities of nifaq and shirk etc. May Allah gave us the tawfeeq to purify ourselves from all kinds of impurities. Ameen

Rise and Warn
Sadia Zubair (Al Huda Student)
O you who covers himself [with a garment],
Arise and warn
And your Lord glorify[Al Mudathir: 1-3]
The surah that struck me the most in this juzz was the beginning of surah Muzzammil and surah Muddassir. I learnt how strongly Allah tells Prophet (saw) to rise and warn people about the Day of Judgement through Quran. Before I took this course and before learning Quran, I didn’t have any idea about how important it is to give Dawah and tell people about Islam and Quran. I learnt that as a muslim it is my primary duty to first of all tell my relatives, friends and other Muslims around me about what is mentioned in the Quran. Then we should also inform our neighbors and other non Muslims about tawheed and Islam.

Al Muzammil V.1-20
Recite and Ponder
Huma Imran (Al Huda Student)
Or add to it, and recite the Qur’ān with measured recitation. [Al Muzammil:4]
Dear brothers and sisters in Islam. Know that reciting and pondering over the Book of Allah, devoting your time regularly to its study and implementation has tremendous benefits in this life and the Next. So let us now look to just a few of them to attach ourselves more firmly to Allah’s Majestic Words. Each benefit stands as enough of an encouragement to shun any laziness we have and dedicate ourselves to the Qur’an.
1 – Reading and reflecting over the Qur’an fulfils an Islamic duty.
2 – The Qur’an will be a proof for us on the Day of Judgment.
3 – The Qur’an will intercede for us on the Day of Judgment.
4 – Your status in this life will be raised.
5 – You will be from the best of the people.
6 – There are ten rewards for each letter you recite from the Qur’an.
7 – The reciters of the Qur’an will be in the company of the noble and obedient angels.
8 – Your position in Paradise is determined by the amount of Qur’an you memorize in this life!
9 – The Qur’an will lead you to Paradise!
