Taha V.104-135
Patience
So be patient over what they say and exalt [Allāh] with praise of your Lord before the rising of the sun and before its setting; and during periods of the night [exalt Him] and at the ends of the day, that you may be satisfied. [Taha:130]
Recently I was speaking to someone about Islam and just by talking about it this person became extremely angry. They began shouting and cursing me and I did not know what to do. I was quiet as I did not know how to answer them back and later I felt very useless and insignificant. Now that I read this verse it really makes sense that we should stay patient because if we also turn around and behave in the same manner they do there will be no difference between us. Instead when facing a difficult situation call upon the one who knows everyone, Allah (Swt).

No Excuses
And if We had destroyed them with a punishment before him, they would have said, “Our Lord, why did You not send to us a messenger so we could have followed Your verses before we were humiliated and disgraced?” [Taha:134]
Allah (swt) ends the surah with a statement that many of us think about. We always think it is hard to follow religion because there is no messenger present with us today, however, we will have no excuse for not following the deen properly because we have the Qur’an and the sunnah. We need to come out of the shell we have made for ourselves and start working towards our goal. The goal of jannah. This can not be achieved by sitting around we have to work for it and the only way is to follow the commandments enjoined upon us. We have no excuse so we should start working rather than thinking of more reasons not to follow.

Taha V.77-104
No Logic
[Moses] said, “Then go. And indeed, it is [decreed] for you in [this] life to say, ‘No contact.’ And indeed, you have an appointment [in the Hereafter] you will not fail to keep. And look at your ‘god’ to which you remained devoted. We will surely burn it and blow it into the sea with a blast. [Taha:97]
This verse really made me think about what proof those who worship idols have? There is nothing that logically or physically points to the proof that pieces of wood or stone can do anything for a person. It is a huge humiliation that Samiri had his God burnt. He made this God of gold and gave it a mooing sound but it sounds insane to think that the people who worship these Gods are the ones who made them. It doesn’t even make sense logically. As he led others astray he was punished in the dunya by never allowing anyone near him. This is a sign for us that if we are fast enough to disobey Allah (swt) we should be fast enough to also accept the consequences.

Taha V.41-76
Allah Sees
Fasiha Memon (Group Aisha)
[Allah] said, “Fear not. Indeed, I am with you both; I hear and see.” [Taha : 46]
This ayah gives me so much comfort. Every moment of pain, of grief, of sorrow I go through, Allah knows about it. Every time I am criticized and I don’t say anything, Allah knows. Every time I am cursed at and I smile back, Allah is watching. Every time I whisper to Allah or I talk to Him in my heart, He hears it all. Every injustice done to me, Allah sees it.
It makes my heart content that I don’t need to do anything for anyone. I don’t need to tell people of what good I have done or prove to people anything. The one that it is all done for already sees. No one else needs to know, no one else is worth telling. Only Allah can reward me for what I say or do.
I feel more certain on saying, I am never alone. Whenever I am scared, now I know with certainty that Allah is there. He will guide me, He will protect me. I have nothing to worry about.

Taha V.1-40
No Distress
We have not sent down to you the Qur’ān that you be distressed
But only as a reminder for those who fear [Allāh] [Taha:2-3]
I thought it was a very beautiful thing for Allah (Swt) to say to us that He did not send the Qur’an down to make us all distressed. Many times we become distressed because of the commands but Allah (Swt) has made ease for us. There is a lot of lenience for us such as shortening prayer and not having to fast when on a journey. Instead of taking the Qur’an as a burden we should be happy because in it are commands of Allah (Swt) which if we follow will be the reason for our success.
