Key To A Beautiful Patience

They said, “By Allāh, you will not cease remembering Joseph until you become fatally ill or become of those who perish.”
He said, “I only complain of my suffering and my grief to Allāh, and I know from Allāh that which you do not know. [Yusuf: 85-86]
In these two verses we learn the secret to having a beautiful patience as Jacon (as) did. It includes complaining and distressing only to Allah (swt). For us this is a backwards concept because we complain to everyone except Allah and then say that we are being patient. We should reevaluate what we think patience is!
