Cure Yourself By Fasting
Farhiya Ahmed (Group Aisha)
Subhanaallah these ayats were about fasting and alhmduliallah we just completed the month of Ramadan. Listening to these verses I really feel that Allah swt has bestowed so much mercy upon us. I really love the part Allah says:
And when My servants ask you, [O Muhammad], concerning Me indeed I am near. I respond to the invocation of the supplicant when he calls upon Me. So let them respond to Me [by obedience] and believe in Me that they may be [rightly] guided. [Al Baqarah:186]
How beautiful is it that Allah swt is telling us he is near when we call up on him. There are so many lessons in this verse itself. The etiquettes of being a servant of Allah swt is addressed and we can see that one should be seeking knowledge of Allah swt. When we do so we then gain closeness to him. (more…)

Surah Al Baqarah V.177-182
A Recipe For The Righteouss
Farhiya Ahmed (Group Aisha)
We all would love to become righteous people and attain the mercy of Allah swt but are we willing to work for it? Many of us work extremely hard to achieve something in this life time; whether it’s a higher education or a dream job, good family and friends etc. However, how many of us want to gain all of theses goals for the benefit of uplifting the deen of Allah swt and attaining success in the hereafter?
Righteousness is not that you turn your faces toward the east or the west, but [true] righteousness is [in] one who believes in Allāh, the Last Day, the angels, the Book, and the prophets and gives wealth, in spite of love for it, to relatives, orphans, the needy, the traveler, those who ask [for help], and for freeing slaves; [and who] establishes prayer and gives zakāh; [those who] fulfill their promise when they promise; and [those who] are patient in poverty and hardship and during battle. Those are the ones who have been true, and it is those who are the righteous. [Al Baqarah:177]

Save lives! Equal Retribution
Student of Al Huda
One of the most beautiful aspects of Islam is that the sympathy of the people lie with the one who is wronged not the one who carries out the injustice. Due to this reason equal retribution is allowed and prescribed upon the muslims. The family of a murdered person have two choices when it comes to dealing with the one who killed their family member.
The first option is that they are allowed to ask for the death of the person who killed their loved one. It does not matter whether the person is a slave or a female, that person must pay for what they did. No one else can be killed in place of the murdered. For example if you are unable to find the murdered you can not kill his wife in place of him, it must be the one who committed the crime that has to pay. (more…)

Importance of rights
Student of Al Huda
Before death a muslim is urged to write a will which bequeaths their belongings to their most loved family and friends. When someone dies and they leave behind something but there is no will many times families and friends break into argument and dispute when splitting the possessions amongst themselves. Due to this Muslims should leave a will which leaves no room for changing.
The nearest family should have a share of what is left and their share is explained by Allah as to how much they will inherit. One third of a persons wealth can be given anywhere where that persons wills to give their money but it can not be to anyone who is already inheriting from them. Allah says writing the will is a duty upon the righteous people.
Once the person is dead anyone who alters the will they have earned a sin which is upon themselves and they will have to answer for their work in the hereafter. However, there is one case in which one can alter the will of another person. (more…)
